AGAIN !!!!! Sixty Million Naira Budgeted For Grass Cutting in Boko Haram Ravaged Areas
Members of the House of Reps expressed shock, on Tuesday, that the Presidential Committee on North-East Initiative budgeted N60m to cut grasses this year in communities ravaged by the Boko Haram insurgents.
This is coming when controversies surrounding a similar contract worth over N200m, awarded by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has yet to be settled.

SOUTH AFRICANS BEGIN XENOPHOBIC ATTACT AGAINST NIGERIANS AGAIN.
Ikechukwu Anyene, president, Nigeria Union, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone from Pretoria, South Africa, that the attacks began at 4.00 a.m. He said the union had reported the incident to the Nigerian mission and South African police.
“As we speak, five buildings with Nigerian businesses, including a church have been looted and burned by South Africans. One of the buildings is a mechanic garage with 28 cars under repairs, with other vital documents, were burned during the attack.
Also, the pastor of the church was wounded and is in the hospital receiving treatment,” he said. Mr. Anyene said the union had informed Nigerians in South Africa to be vigilant in the face of renewed xenophobic attacks.

SO SAD !!!! Two Corpers Die In Accident On Taraba-Benue Road
The corp members who were part of the 2016 Batch B Stream 2 of the NYSC scheme lost their lives while returning home from the 21 days orientation camp in Taraba State. The unfortunate incident also saw other passengers of the vehicle sustain injuries. The bus was conveying mostly youth corps members from Taraba to Benue state before it crashed.
A source who spoke exclusively with kikiotolu revealed that one of the victims name is Becky and was a member of the number 9 Platoon of the 2016 Batch B Stream 2 Taraba state. She was returning back home just like every other youth corps member but met her end on the road.

A Port Harcourt-based pastor, Gobari Maxwell, of the Believers’ Love World Ministry aka Christ Embassy Church was yesterday arraigned before an Ikeja High Court for allegedly defrauding one of his members, Osazuwa Okungbowa, of N4.5 million.
Maxwell, who superintends over one of the satellite churches led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, was said to have tricked Okungbowa into believing that he would help him procure two plots of land near the Port Harcourt Polytechnic, Bori Camp.

The family of the pastor who was said to be from the Living Faith Church on upper Erhunmwunse Street in Benin City was yesterday visited by palace functionaries of the Benin monarch, Oba Ewuare II to know why the act was committed.
The pastor allegedly committed suicide inside the church. The abominable act was frown at by the palace of Benin who earlier last week placed a restriction on the church but was on Sunday defiled by church members to observe church service.

A front line youth group the Organisation For Global Youth Peace,Empowerment And Development Initiative (OGYPEDI) has called on the National Assembly to send a delegation to meet with President Buhari in London.
This call was made in Lagos on behalf of the group by its national coordinator Mr Japheth Omene in responds to the numerous rumors surrounding the President's health condition which has further been brought to fore by the President's extension of his vacation in London. According to Mr Omene 'Mr President's indefinite extension of his vacation has further created doubts and uncertainties in the minds of Nigerians concerning his true state of health so therefore,the right thing to do would be for the National Assembly which is the representative of the people to send a delegation to London to ascertain the President's condition and brief Nigerians accordingly'.
The group also advise that while we urge all Nigerians to pray for the safe return of Mr President,the laws/constitution should be respected by allowing Prof Osinbajo to continue to function as the acting President without undue interference pending the return of President Buhari as anything contrary to this could lead to constitutional crisis and a total collapse in the machinery of government and that would ultimately affect governance as a whole.
